The major hotels on Mahe have cabaret or disco facilities. The Berjaya Mahe Beach Resort
at Port Glaud (tel. 378451) and the near distant Equator Grand Anse Hotel (tel. 378228) are ideal for disco dancing with fellow tourists. If you prefer to mingle with the local in-crowd, the Katiolo Club Restaurant and Disco at Anse Faure (tel. 375453) is a good place to hang out at.
The “In” places in Victoria are The Lovenut Night Club (tel. 323232), The Barrel (tel. 322136),
and the Flamboyant Discotheque (tel. 224920).

The Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Beach Resort and Casino and the Berjaya Mahe Beach Resort
and Casino (tel. 247400), both on the island of Mahe. Also on Mahe, The Planters Casino at The Plantation Club (tel. 361361) and in Victoria, The Amusement Centre at Oceangate House (tel. 225878). On the island of Praslin, the place to play is The Casino Des Isles.

In Victoria, the place to be seen at for people watching and people watching you is The Pirates Arms Restaurant and Bar on Independence Avenue.
Cultural Events
